(VOVworld) – A national meeting to respond to World Environment Day, June 5^th took place on Friday in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province.

People are called on to take practical action to protect the environment.

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai asked authorities at all levels, sectors, political and social organizations and people to take practical action to protect the environment: “It is essential to take measures to restructure the economy which encourages enterprises to apply environment friendly and energy saving technology. We need to be greener, mobilize and use effectively official support and investment from organizations and individuals to build a green economy. Each Vietnamese person and enterprise should have practical action to protect the environment, manage and effectively use natural resources while assuring sustainable environmental protection”.
