Vietnam, Russia celebrate fruitful bilateral friendship

(VOVWORLD) - The top leaders of Vietnam and Russia have exchanged greetings on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on Basic Principles for the Bilateral Friendship on June 16.

Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong and Russian President Vladimir Putin highlighted the significance of the occasion, which they said makes a new development phase in the relationship.

After 25 years, bilateral ties and cooperation have been expanded and strengthened across the board. The two said they hope the Vietnam-Russia friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership will continue to benefit the two nations as well as regional and global peace, stability and development.
