Vietnam, Saudi Arabia ready to boost cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and Saudi Arabia are pleased with the positive development of their multi-faceted cooperation and have agreed to strengthen their ties as soon as the COVID-19 pandemic is under control, according to the two countries’ top diplomats.

Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh and Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, who talked by phone on Thursday, said they agreed to increase delegation exchanges at all levels and implement existing cooperation mechanisms via online meetings, starting with the upcoming 4th meeting of the Vietnam-Saudi Arabia Joint Committee.

The two countries will also step up investment, trade, and tourism promotion activities, and push ahead with negotiations and signing of agreements on investment encouragement and protection, judicial assistance, and collaboration in fighting crime.
