Mr. Phuc said that sustainable and inclusive development is only possible when international relationships are maintained through law-based systems and mutual respect, understanding, cooperation, and trust among countries.

“G20 members should strive to integrate the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and commitments on climate into their national development programs," said Mr. Phuc.

"I hope the G20 will provide financial and technological support to help developing countries realise their sustainable development goals through participating in global supply chains, accessing market and preferential loan resources, and responding to climate change and environmental pollution,”

At the discussion, themed “Building a sustainable, inclusive, resilient future”, Mr. Phuc reiterated Vietnam’s commitment to the Paris Agreement, saying Vietnam hopes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 9% by 2030 using domestic resources and 27% with international support.
