Vietnam, Sierra Leone promote cooperation in agriculture, digital transformation

(VOVWORLD) - President of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio visited the Vietnam Institute of Agricultural Sciences on Wednesday as part of his official visit to Vietnam.

He said Sierra Leone is impressed by Vietnam's great achievements in agriculture. On the basis of the good relationship between the two countries as well as the potential to further improve the efficiency of cooperation between the two sides, Sierra Leone wishes to receive Vietnam's support and experience sharing in this field, he added.

On this occasion, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in crop production between Sierra Leone and the Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

Also on Wednesday, President Julius Maada Bio worked at FPT Group, discussing promoting cooperation in digital transformation.

Jacob Jusu Saffa, Minister and Chairman of the President Office representing the Government of Sierra Leone and FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh signed a cooperation agreement to promote national digital transformation and digital human resource training for Sierra Leone.
