Vietnam stresses need to improve operational efficiency of UN General Assembly
(VOVWORLD) - Ambassador Dang Hoang Giang, Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations, emphasized the need to improve the performance of the UN General Assembly and ensure transparency in its decision process.

On Monday, at a 77th-tenure General Assembly discussion on this issue, Giang said information sharing is a key to the operational efficiency of the UN General Assembly.
He stressed measures to ensure continuity between the terms of successive General Assembly Presidents and to ensure gender equality and equal geographic representation in appointed UN positions.
Giang added that the Assembly should prioritize implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
