Vietnam supports efforts to promote ASEAN’s solidarity in Myanmar issue
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam wants Myanmar to soon stabilize the situation in the country for the interest of its people and the unity of the ASEAN Community, said spokesperson for Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang at a regular press conference on Thursday.

Hang said ASEAN operates on the basis of dialogue consultation, cooperation, and compliance with the ASEAN Charter. ASEAN is now helping Myanmar overcome difficulties focusing on delivering humanitarian aids. Together with other countries, Vietnam will promote the "5-point consensus". Vietnam hopes that Myanmar will continue to participate in the building of a peaceful, stable ASEAN, said Ms Hang.
