Vietnam to boost comprehensive partnership with Canada

(VOVWORLD) - The Party and State of Vietnam always want to foster the comprehensive partnership with Canada, head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Van Binh said at a meeting with Canadian Ambassador for Climate Change Patricia Fuller in Hanoi on Friday.

He thanked the Canadian Government for its cooperation and assistance to Vietnam in multiple fields, including adaptation to climate change and environmental protection.

Mr Binh urged the Canadian Government to continue sharing experience with Vietnam in developing clean energy, beef up cooperation between businesses in renewable energy development, and provide technological consultancy and finance.

The ambassador said Canada wanted advance cooperation with Vietnam in developing clean energy, applying high-technologies, improving coastal communities’ ability to adapt to climate change, assisting the sustainable development of the fishery sector, and protecting the marine environment.
