Vietnam, Turkmenistan foster multifaceted cooperation

(VOVWORLD) - The Foreign Ministries of Vietnam and Turkmenistan have agreed to maintain consultations and regular exchanges to strengthen bilateral ties.

The consensus was reached at a meeting in Hanoi on Monday between Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and his Turkmenistan counterpart Vepa Hajiev. They agreed to sign agreements to provide a comprehensive legal foundation for cooperation and tap on their potential for cooperation in economics, trade, education, training, culture, sports, and tourism.

The two discussed regional issues and the importance of international law and the United Nations Charter. They promised continued coordination and mutual support in international forums like the United Nations.
