Vietnam values its neighborly relations with Cambodia, says PM

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam values and gives high priority to strengthening the neighborly relations, traditional friendship and comprehensive, sustainable, and long-term cooperation with Cambodia, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh told Men Sam An, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia.

At a meeting between the two leaders in Hanoi on Friday, PM Chinh expressed his hope to continue beefing up the two countries' relations, especially in trade, investment, tourism, human resource training, and people-to-people exchanges and building their shared border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development.

The Prime Minister praised Men Sam An’s contributions to cultivating and consolidating the friendship and solidarity between the two peoples and expected she will continue boosting the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries.

Deputy Prime Minister Men Sam An, who is also Minister of the National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection of Cambodia and Chairwoman of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association, congratulated Vietnam for its socio-economic achievements and global prestige.

She pledged further efforts and contribution to foster the relationship between the two countries, especially in economic development, respond to emerging challenges, and fight against hostile forces and plots to split Vietnam-Cambodia solidarity.
