During a phone conversation with British Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs Dominic Raab on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Son suggested the UK create more favorable conditions for vaccine supply and consider transferring vaccine production technology to Vietnam as he  called the UK the leader in Europe and the wider world in COVID-19 vaccination.

Dominic Raab said the UK wishes to continue working closely with Vietnam at multilateral forums and emphasizes the compliance with international law, including the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

Both ministers agreed on close coordination to ensure the success of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the Climate Convention (COP26) the UK will host in November 2021. They stressed the centrality of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in promoting dialogue and finding lasting solutions to the Myanmar situation.
