(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam received more than 19.1 million international arrivals, up 20.9% year-on-year over the past 11 months, the highest figure ever recorded, according to the National Statistics Office of the Ministry of Finance.

According to the latest report from the UN Tourism, Vietnam’s tourism rebound has been particularly striking, especially as the Asia–Pacific region as a whole has recovered to only 90% of pre-pandemic levels. Vietnam’s growth rate is now among the fastest in the world, alongside Japan.
By market size, China remained Vietnam’s largest source of international visitors in the January–November period, with nearly 4.8 million arrivals, accounting for 25.0%; South Korea ranked second with more than 3.9 million or 20.6%. Taiwan (China) followed in third place with 1.1 million, and the United States ranked fourth with 766,000 visitors.
