Vietnam wins 2 gold medals at IOI 2016

(VOVworld) – All members of the Vietnamese team to the 2016 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) won medals, which concluded on Friday on Friday.

According to the Department of Educational Testing and Accreditation under the Ministry of Education and Training, the two gold medals were won by Phan Duc Nhat Minh and Pham Cao Nguyen, both from the High School for the Gifted at the National University of Hanoi.

Tran Tan Phat, from the High School for the Gifted at the National University of HCM City, claimed a silver medal while the remaining member of the team Le Quang Tuan, from the High School for the Gifted at the National University of Education, took a bronze.

With these results, Vietnam now ranks seventh out of 81 participating countries and territories.
