(VOVworld) – Vietnamese swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won a gold medal in the women’s 200m backstroke event at the 2013 Asian Youth Games in China on Wednesday, with a time of 2 minutes 12.56 seconds.

Another gold medal went to Nguyen Thi Truc Mai in the women’s long jump event with a jump of 5.90m. Truong Thi Kim Tuyen brought home a bronze medal in the under-47kg women’s taekwondo event and Ly Hoang Nam is poised to win another bronze medal after defeating his Taiwanese opponent in the tennis quarter final. Vietnam is now in 10^th place with 2 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
