Vietnam wins 2 more gold at Asian Youth Games

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien won a gold medal in the women’s 200m backstroke event at the 2013 Asian Youth Games in China on Wednesday, with a time of 2 minutes 12.56 seconds.

Another gold medal went to Nguyen Thi Truc Mai in the women’s long jump event with a jump of 5.90m. Truong Thi Kim Tuyen brought home a bronze medal in the under-47kg women’s taekwondo event and Ly Hoang Nam is poised to win another bronze medal after defeating his Taiwanese opponent in the tennis quarter final. Vietnam is now in 10th place with 2 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
