(VOVworld) – A ceremony to award and open a photo exhibition from the 8th International Artistic Photo Contest took place on Thursday in Hanoi.

Vietnam has won a number of prizes in 4 categories including free style, woman at work, sublimated moments and still life. Writer Nguyen Tung Dien is Vice Chairman of Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts: “Many arts works of Vietnam and foreign countries share similarities in content and artistic view. The photos of people and nature give the audience feelings of peace and happiness”.

This year’s contest was added with prizes from the French non-border image association and new themes to encourage creativeness.
