Vietnam wins four gold medals at Taekwondo World Championships

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese martial artists brought home four gold medals at the World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships which ended in China on Saturday. They also bagged nine silver and eight bronze medals to rank 3rd in the final tally.

The gold medals went to Pham Quoc Viet in the men’s recognized poomsae, Nguyen Dinh Khoi in men’s freestyle, Nguyen Thi Mong Quynh in women’s freestyle, and a group of six athletes in team’s freestyle performance.

The week-long World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships this year attracted around 300 athletes from all over the world. Vietnam sent 31 athletes to compete in freestyle and recognized poomsae events in individual, pair, and team categories.
