Vietnam wins U23 International Championship
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s U23 team finished first in the U23 International Championship – Vinaphone Cup 2018 after a 1-1 draw against Uzbekistan on Tuesday night.

The match was pro forma as Vietnam had already secured the championship by wins against Palestine and Oman. The tournament was preparation for this year’s Asian Games (ASIAD) starting next week in Indonesia. 20 players were selected for Vietnam’s U23 Vietnam football team for ASIAD, where Vietnam will be in group D alongside Japan, Pakistan, and Nepal. Their opening match, against U23 Pakistan, will be played next Wednesday.
