Vietnam wishes to boost traditional friendship with Czech Republic

(VOVWORLD) -The State and people of Vietnam attach great importance to and wish to boost the more than 70 year traditional friendship with the Czech Republic, President Vo Van Thuong told Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, who is on an official visit to Vietnam.

At a reception in Hanoi on Friday, President Thuong expressed his belief that the visit will make an important contribution to promoting the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.

Prime Minister Fiala applauded Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements and its global position, saying that the Czech Republic wishes to consolidate and develop relations with Vietnam, the Czech's most important partner in ASEAN.

President Thuong suggested that the Czech Government continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to integrate and live stably in the Czech Republic.

He expressed his confidence that the Vietnamese community will continue to actively uphold its role as a bridge to boost economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, and tourism, contributing to the development of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
