Vietnamese community abroad supports HCMC’s COVID-19 fight

(VOVWORLD) - The Japan-based Steve Bui and Friends Foundation presented 30,000 N95 medical masks to Ho Chi Minh City on Friday to help control the COVID-19 pandemic there.

The Foundation also presented District 7 with 12,000 kits for rapid COVID-19 testing worth more than 87,000 USD.

Dinh Vinh Cuong, a Vietnamese businessman in Japan, chairman of 365 Group, Le Ba Linh, an overseas Vietnamese in Thailand, chairman of the Board of Directors of Pacific Foods Joint Stock Company, together with some donors, have coordinated with the municipal Commission for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs to deliver the gifts.

Earlier the 365 Group and Pacific Foods opened the “Zero-dong supermarket” and provided free meals and essential goods to poor workers facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Tan Binh district and surrounding areas.
