Vietnamese community in Czech Republic supports COVID-19 fight at home

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic donated around 21,000 USD to Vietnam’s COVID-19 Vaccine Fund.

The donation was announced at a ceremony held by the State Committee on Overseas Vietnamese Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday.

Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hieu, Chairman of the Committee thanked the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic for their support. He said, “Overseas Vietnamese around the world have responded to the call of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front to contribute to the pandemic prevention and control efforts. This shows their spirit of solidarity, mutual support, and love for the homeland”.

Mr. Hieu also expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic affected by the COVID-19 pandemic will soon return to normal life.
