(VOVworld) – Vietnamese companies are introducing their export staples, including rice, aqua products, tea, coffee, wine, and fruits, at the Food & Hotel Asia exhibition in Singapore until Friday.

Nguyen Viet Chi, Trade Counselor from the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, said that given the advantages and challenges created by Vietnam’s membership of ASEAN and the Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement, Vietnamese enterprises have proactively resolved their shortcomings and realized their potential.
Singapore’s General Statistics Office said Vietnam’s food and foodstuff exports to Singapore in 2015 reached 320 million USD, accounting for 4% of Singapore’s imported food.
The Food and Hotel Asia 2016 exhibition in Singapore has 3,000 booths of enterprises from 70 countries. It attracts about 68,000 visitors, mainly businesspeople, from 95 countries, to seek business opportunities.
