(VOVworld) - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan has urged Vietnamese diplomats overseas to maintain close correspondence with the city and expand its links to the world, especially with traditional and major economic partners.

At a meeting with newly-appointed heads of representative Vietnamese agencies abroad for the 2015-2018 tenure led by Deputy Foreign Minister and Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong on Wednesday, Quân said the city expects the ambassadors to be a trustworthy source of support and to connect expats with their Vietnamese fellows at home.


Cuong pledged that the new ambassadors and diplomats would do their best to seek and connect with potential investors to meet the city’s development demand.
