The Vietnamese Embassy in the US officially launches the tourism website on August 29, 2019. In its one-month trial, the website racked up 3,500 views.

The website at tourism.vietnamembassy-usa.org provides essential and reliable information for all Americans and others who want to visit and find out more about the timeless charm of the Vietnamese people, culture, landscape, and cuisine. It also cites articles by prestigious media agencies around the world honoring Vietnam’s top destinations together with a guide on local culture.

Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc said at the launch ceremony: “The Vietnamese Embassy’s tourism website is one of the first of its kind ever launched by a foreign diplomatic corps in the US. This is part of our celebration of the founding anniversary of Vietnam’s diplomacy sector and 25 years since the normalization of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations. Our tourism promotion aims to attract one million American tourists to Vietnam by 2020 and strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, education, training, and interpersonal exchanges. We believe the information uploaded to this website will help Americans and Vietnamese expats to learn more about Vietnam, thus strengthening friendship and mutual understanding toward trust building between the two countries.”

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the US has always been in the top ten of foreign arrivals in Vietnam.
