Vietnamese film wins special prize at Hanoi International Film Festival

(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese film “Flapping from the Middle of Nowhere” won the special jury prize for the best long film at the 3rd Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) which ended on Thursday. The award for best short film went to another Vietnamese film, “What's Out There”.

Ruslan Akun of Kyrgyzstan took home the Best Young Director award for his short film “Herding”. The Best Short Film award went to the Indonesian film “Waiting for Colors”.

The Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema presented its prize to the Philippine film “The Coffin Maker”.

Anna Astrakhntseva of Russia was named best leading actress for her role in ‘Two Women’ and Allen Dizon of the Philippines won the best leading actor title for his performance in the film “The Coffin Maker”.

Shahram Mokri of Iran was named the Best Director for his feature film “Fish and Cat”. The Best Feature Film award went to Russian film “Two Women”.
