Vietnamese firms invest 179 million USD in Australia
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese businesses have invested nearly 340 million USD in 102 newly licensed projects abroad since the beginning of this year, according to the Foreign Investment Agency (FIA) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
From January to August, Australia was the largest recipient of Vietnam’s investment with 179 million USD, followed by the US, Spain, Cambodia, and Singapore.
Vietnamese firms invested 22% in the wholesale and retail sectors and automobile repair.
Agro-forestry-fishery investment was more than 20% of the total. The science and technology sector came third with 19%, followed by real estate trading with 16%.
