Russia’s Independence newspaper on Sunday published an article by Grigory Trofimchuk, an analyst of international politics, on the significance of the visit to China by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong. Trofimchuk said positive relations between the two Parties will create favorable conditions for effective and substantive cooperation between the two countries.

Japan’s Nikkei Japan on Tuesday ran an article emphasizing that the visit is an affirmation of Vietnam's consistent foreign policy of attaching importance to relations with neighboring countries like China for joint cooperation to consolidate peace and stability in the region and the world.

Reuters published coverage of the visit, reporting that China gave Vietnamese Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong a respectful welcome, showing the importance of the relationship.

In an article entitled "Vietnam and China reach cooperation agreements in different fields" published on Tuesday, Cuba’s Prensa Latina quoted Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping as saying that China highly values the Chinese-Vietnamese relationship and acknowledges Vietnam's role in promoting the relationship between ASEAN and China.
