Vietnamese President and Jordanian King hold talks

(VOVWORLD) -President Luong Cuong of Vietnam and King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan held talks in Hanoi on Wednesday.

President Cuong said Vietnam attaches importance to and wishes to promote the multifaceted cooperative relationship with Jordan strongly, substantially and effectively.

The two leaders agreed that in addition to strengthening political trust, in the economic field, Vietnam and Jordan will open their markets to each other's products, encourage investment in infrastructure development, green economy, digital economy, telecommunications, production, and agricultural processing.

They stressed the need to boost connection of the startup ecosystem and innovation, soon open direct flights, create favorable conditions for granting entry visas for citizens of both sides.

The King of Jordan said he is ready to support Vietnam in developing the Halal industry by sharing information and experience in Halal certification and opening the market for Vietnam's Halal products. The two leaders also agreed to cooperate closely at multilateral forums.

Also Wednesday afternoon, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man met with King Abdullah II and both agreed to promote bilateral cooperation in all fields, including parliamentary cooperation.
