Mr. Tuan said U20 World Cup 2017 was an occasion to promote Vietnam’s image to the world: “First, we were successful in drawing spectators. 80% of the spectators at our 3 matches were Vietnamese, which created a nice image for Vietnamese football. As 1 of the 2 weakest teams there, we participated just to gain experience.”

Many fans showed up at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi to welcome the team back.
