Speaking at the 3rd congress of the Vietnamese-Czech Buddhist Followers’ Association held on Sunday in Prague, Hoang Dinh Thang, chairman of the overseas Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, praised the Association’s contribution to Vietnam’s development over the past 8 years. He said the Association has tasked itself with preserving and promoting Vietnamese culture to younger generations of overseas Vietnamese, as well as educating them to love peace and live a humane lifestyle. The congress has set 2 major tasks for the Association from now until 2019: uniting overseas Vietnamese Buddhist followers in the Czech Republic and building the Vinh Nghiem pagoda in Prague.
