This year’s program features around 70 booths in agricultural products, education, medicine, tourism, labor export, and study abroad consultancy services. Of these, 20 stalls display Japanese culture and products.

The three-day event also includes art performances involving more than 300 artists, including 26 from Japan.

Truong Quang Hoai Nam, Deputy Chairman of Can Tho People’s Committee, said: “Culture is considered the spiritual foundation of society. It is the target and the driving force to boost socio-economic development. Cultural exchange will contribute to maintaining cultural values and national characters, strengthening understanding, and consolidating friendship among nations towards developing economic and trade relations. This festival will help Can Tho residents know more about Japan’s culture and introduce the culture of Can Tho and Vietnamese nation to Japanese people, thus making people in the two countries closer to each other.”
