(VOVworld)–A workshop featuring Vietnam’s military and defense reforms over the past 30 years will take place in Hanoi this Friday.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Major-general Nguyen Phuong Dien, Deputy Director of the Information and Training Department, said the workshop will reiterate the sound leadership, direction, and strategic vision of the Communist Party of Vietnam throughout the renewal process. It will also focus on the leadership of the Party for the Vietnam People’s Army.

“The workshop reaffirms the Party’s leadership in renovating military and defense missions with the Vietnam People’s Army being the core factor in national construction and defense. It will also help consolidate the trust of military staff and soldiers, especially the younger generation, in the renewal process and the efforts to develop a strong army”, Major-general Dien said.
