Vietnam’s biggest blood donation campaign receives 8,300 blood units
(VOVWORLD) - The week-long Red Spring Festival 2021 ended on Sunday with more than 8,300 blood units donated, said the festival’s Organizing Committee at the closing ceremony at the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion in Hanoi.

This year’s campaign collected 160% higher amount of blood than the original plan of 5,000 blood units.
The Red Spring Festival launched in 2008 is Vietnam’s biggest blood donation campaign.
It is organized by the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, Hanoi Youth Campaign for Blood Donation, and Hanoi City Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign to overcome the shortage of blood right after Lunar New Year.
