Vietnam’s Engineering Company Rotations 3 passes COE inspection
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s Engineering Company Rotations 3 at the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) has passed the Contingent Owned Equipment (COE) inspection in the third quarter of 2025.

The inspection was a procedural step before handing over duties to Engineering Company Rotation 4 and aims to demonstrate the unit’s professionalism and commitment to their international mission. On the United Nations peacekeeping operations, the COE inspection assessed the condition of the unit's vehicles, equipment, and the unit’s overall mission capability.
Lieutenant Colonel Pham Ngoc Au, Deputy Commander in charge of Engineering, said: “With solidarity and high determination, the entire team has made great efforts to overcome difficulties, carefully reviewing every item to ensure all equipment and vehicles are maintained in the best possible condition for handover to Rotation 4. This is a requirement of the Mission and also the responsibility and honor of every staff serving on United Nations peacekeeping duties.”

Raju, Head of the COE Section and Chief of the UNISFA’s inspection team, praised Vietnam’s performance amidst the harsh weather.
“Vietnam’s Military Construction Engineering Company has thoroughly prepared for this inspection. We found that all of your major equipment and self-sustainment supplies to be acceptable by UN standards. Despite the rainy season, you have put a lot of effort into your preparation for the inspection, and it is most commendable,” Raju said.
Vietnam’s Engineering Company Rotations 3 passing COE inspection was meaningful in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2).
