(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s English language proficiency was scored as moderate in the 2018 English Proficiency Index published by Education First (EF). The ranking was announced by Education First Organization in Hanoi on Wednesday.
This year, Vietnam ranked 41st out of 88 countries and territories across the globe. EF’s survey was conducted in 5 Vietnamese cities – Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang, Hai Phong, and Can Tho. Vietnam was 34th out of 80 surveyed countries and territories in 2017.
EF compared test data for 1.3 million people who speak English as a second language. Sweden, the Netherlands, and Singapore topped the 2018 list.
Founded in 1965, EF is an international education organization. It has 580 schools and offices in more than 50 countries.
