(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s first electric taxi service Xanh SM was launched on Friday in Hanoi by Green & Smart Mobility (GSM) JSC.

The new service will open a new chapter of smart, smokeless, noiseless, and environmentally friendly taxis.
In its first phase, the company will operate 500 VF e34 and 100 VF8 electric cars, made by car maker Vinfast, a subsidiary of Vingroup.
Vinfast’s VF5 Plus model will be added to the company’s standard service, GreenCar, in the near future.
GSM said they plan to launch the service in Ho Chi Minh City in April and at least five provinces and cities this year.
