The TH Milk Joint Stock Company became the first Vietnamese firm to receive approval from the General Administration of Customs of China to export dairy products to China. Its sterilized and modified milk products have been granted transaction codes. Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong said the deal opens up a significant opportunity for Vietnam’s dairy cow breeding and milk processing sectors to boost exports to not only China but also many other potential markets such as Japan, Canada, the US and Thailand. Mr. Cuong said: “This event marks a breakthrough for Vietnam’s agricultural sector, as it opens to the massive potential of the Chinese market with 1.4 billion people."
