Nguyen Bich Lan, head of the Office predicted Vietnam’s economy will grow 5% this year given the complex developments of Covid-19 pandemic all over the world.

He pointed out 6 solutions to resume production and gain higher growth in the next quarters: “First is the support for the business community, particularly household business and medium and small enterprises, which are vulnerable and account for 98% of the total number of operating enterprises. Second, we should focus on removing obstacles and bottlenecks in land, administrative procedures, and institutions to strengthen disbursement of 100% of investment capital. An 1% increase of disbursement will boost our GDP grow 0.06 percentage point and the national economy grow 0.42 percentage point. Other solutions include development of domestic market to meet the needs of an economy with a  population of 100 million people."
