(VOVworld) – The state-level organizing committee for the 132^nd Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Hanoi sent a letter of gratitude to Vietnam’s National Assembly Thursday for its contribution to the event’s success. The letter said IPU 132 from March 28 to April 1^st was a success. Many important legislative issues were on the agenda. The Assembly, themed “Sustainable Development Goals – turning words into action”, adopted the Hanoi Declaration which provides a basis for post-2015 sustainable development goals which will be discussed at the UN General Assembly later this year. Attendees reiterated their commitments to implementing the sustainable development goals in their country. According to the letter, host Vietnam was widely applauded for its hospitality, preparations, and contributions to the event’s agenda.
