Vietnam’s National Day observed abroad

(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese embassy in India on Thursday held a ceremony to mark the 69th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, September 2nd. The Vietnamese ambassador to India, Nguyen Thanh Tan, said with their good traditional friendship, Vietnam and India would further promote cooperation in the fields of greatest potential.

The event was also celebrated in the Norwegian capital of Oslo on Thursday. The Vietnamese Ambassador to Norway, Le Thi Tuyet Mai, stated  that Vietnam is widely recognized as an active, responsible and trustworthy partner by the world community. Vietnam will work closely with Norway and the international community to assure international laws are respected in the region and the world.

On the same day, the Vietnam’s General Consulate in Osaka city, Japan held a banquet to mark the 69th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day. Vietnam’s Consul General in Osaka, Tran Duc Binh, hailed the significance of the strategic partnership as well as breakthrough development in Vietnamese-Japanese cooperation over recent years. The development of bilateral ties to Extensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia during the visit by State President Truong Tan Sang to Japan in March was an important foundation to boost multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Marking the occasion, staff from the Vietnamese embassy in Cambodia and the Vietnamese community there offered incense at the Monument to Vietnamese volunteer soldiers in Phnom Penh.
