Vietnam’s Public Security Intelligence must strictly follow Party and State leadership: PM
(VOVWORLD) - The intelligence force of the People's Public Security of Vietnam needs to be well aware of the situation and strictly follow the leadership of the Party and State, said Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at a ceremony on Monday to celebrate the force’s 75th founding anniversary and bestow on it a First Class National Defense Order.

The PM asked the force to effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, improve its advisory capability, enhance Vietnam’s status, and serve national protection, industrialization and modernization.
Mr. Phuc also asked the force to collaborate with other forces and agencies and capitalize on people’s support to build a strong and sustainable force.
On February 21, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh signed a decree unifying public security units of Vietnam into the “Public Security Department of Vietnam” responsible for multiple tasks, including intelligence.
