Delegates from Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) discussed preparations for the UN Human Rights Council dialogue session next January.

Dang Hoang Giang, the Chief of the Foreign Ministry Office, said the report, was jointly produced by 18 ministries and agencies working on improving human rights in Vietnam. UNDP Country Director Caitlin Wiesen hailed Vietnam for completing its national UPR report, saying UNDP will closely collaborate with Vietnam to implement recommendations at the January dialogue session to boost human rights in Vietnam.

The report was submitted to the UN Human Rights Council in October.
