Vietnam’s rice export fetches 1.9 billion USD in past 7 months
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has exported nearly 3.9 million tons of rice, earning 1.9 billion USD since the beginning of the year. Export volume fell but increased by around 11% in value over the same period last year.

In the first half of this year, the Philippines was Vietnam’s biggest rice importer, accounting for nearly 37% of the total. Other markets with strong growth include Senegal, Indonesia, and China.
Experts said Vietnam’s rice export is expected to increase the rest of the year as many other rice exporters have seen a fall in rice volume.
