Several major product groups posted strong growth compared to the same period last year with shrimp exports of over 385 million USD, up 11.7% and pangasius (tra fish) exports of nearly 197 million USD, up almost 10%

Vietnam’s exports to CPTPP countries, China (including Hong Kong), the European Union, and Brazil saw robust increases.

Over the first 11 months of the year, Vietnam’s seafood exports totaled more than 10.5 billion USD, up 14.6% year-on-year.

VASEP Deputy Secretary-General Le Hang noted that Vietnam’s seafood exports are set to hit a new all-time high this year, reaching around 11.2–11.3 billion USD. Of this, shrimp exports are expected to surpass 4.6 billion USD, setting a new record; pangasius exports are projected to exceed 2.1 billion USD, boosted by recovering demand across Asia; and tuna exports are forecast to reach over 900 million USD.
