Vietnam's upcoming diplomatic activities announced

(VOVWORLD) - Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh will co-chair the 13th meeting of the Steering Committee for Vietnam-China bilateral ties during the Chinese official’s upcoming visit to Vietnam, said Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry Deputy spokesperson Doan Khac Viet.

At a press conference held virtually on Thursday, Mr. Viet said Mr. Wang Yi will also meet Vietnamese during his visit.  "The two sides will discuss ways to boost bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern including cooperation in the fight against COVID-19, and support of vaccines and medical supplies. Information concerning 2 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine and ways to contain COVID-19 will be discussed.'

Also at the press conference, Viet said Vietnam always considers the US one of its leading partners. Leaders of the two countries have agreed to strengthen bilateral ties in trade, investment, national security, climate change, and overcoming consequences of war.
