Vietnam-UK relations are improving, say officials

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and the UK are happy with the positive and comprehensive growth of their relationship, agreed Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs To Anh Dung and Minister for Asia with the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Nigel Adams during a phone call on Thursday.

The two referred to a joint statement issued last year promising to elevate their countries’ strategic partnership to a higher level in the next decade and the signing of the UK-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement.

 The two discussed global and regional issues of shared concern and agreed to cooperate closely to ensure the success of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) to be hosted by the UK later this year.
