VOV fosters ties with Egyptian National Radio

(VOVWORLD) - Leaders of the Voice of Vietnam and Egyptian National Radio reviewed co-operation agreements and deepened the relationship between the two national radio stations at a working session on Tuesday in Cairo.

VOV Vice  President Vu Hai Quang and Mohamed Naurwa, President of the Egyptian National Radio, underscored the need to increase the exchange of reporters, step up co-operation in journalism training, and exchange cultural and musical programs, especially live radio shows to mark the 60th anniversary of the two countries' diplomatic ties.

Mr. Naurwa proposed that VOV design Vietnamese language teaching programs for Egyptians, and other Arabs, who are keen to learn more about Vietnam, its land, culture, and people.

The VOV delegation met with Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Nguyen Huy Dung to learn more about the situation in Egypt and the Middle East, the application of technology in radio and television, and the development of media in the Middle East.
