VOV honors frontliners in COVID-19 fight

(VOVWORLD) -The Voice of Vietnam hosted a special Art - Politics Exchange Program entitled "Pride in Vietnam" in Hanoi on Tuesday evening.

The program truly and vividly reflected the intense days when the whole country was fighting against the COVID-19. Medical doctors and soldiers, who were frontliners in the fight, told moving stories about their own sacrifices and accepting dangers to for community safety.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen The Ky, President of the Voice of Vietnam, highlighted the role of the press agencies in COVID-19 response. He said VOV with more than 2,700 staff from all over Vietnam as well as 13 overseas bureaus reported on hotspots of the epidemic.

Dr. Kidong Park, Chief Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Vietnam, said that there are three factors leading to Vietnam's success. It is the activation of a well-prepared response system; the strong leadership of the Government, the immediate mobilization of resources from the whole society and adequate and correct communications.
