The General Assembly’s Agenda from November 9-26 covers how the media should serve the people, promotion of sustainable relations with our planet and how to live in harmony in our super-diverse world, with nature, and in peace.

The prestigious ABU Prize Awards Ceremony and ABU TV Song Festival will also run as virtual events and will be streamed live.

During the plenary sessions from November 24-26, discussions are focusing global attention on the climate emergency, loss of biodiversity, food and water security, and highlighting the role of media as an amplifier for positive action.

VOV was scheduled to host the 58th ABU General Assembly in Hanoi in November, 2021. However due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event has been held online.

The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union was established in 1964 and now has 250 radio and television member stations in 67 countries and territories in Asia, Pacific, Middle East, Northern Africa, and Northern America.
