VOV President holds talks with Japanese LDP leaders

(VOVWORLD) - VOV President Nguyen The Ky held talks with Hayasi Moto, acting Secretary General of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and other MPs in Tokyo on Friday.

Mr. Ky said the Vietnamese government and people have always treasured relationship with Japan and the ruling LDP and highly regarded Japan’s role in the region and the world. Japan is Vietnam’s biggest ODA provider and one of its top investors.

At a meeting with MP Fukui Teru, the two sides discussed a LDP’s project on natural disaster prevention and control in Vietnam. Mr. Ky said VOV is the most effective channel to inform fishermen and people living in remote areas about natural disasters in order to minimize consequences.

During his working visit to Japan, VOV President Nguyen The Ky met with the Chairman of Kairin Juku education group. Both sides agreed to implement a Japanese program at VOV’s Radio and TV College.
