(VOVworld) – Country Director for the World Bank (WB) in Vietnam Ousmane Dione says the World Bank wants to support Ho Chi Minh City in water management and flood prevention.
 

Heavy rains inundated streets in Ho Chi Minh city

At a meeting with Mr. Dione, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong praised the World Bank’s assistance for Ho Chi Minh City’s socio-economic development.
The WB has assisted several sectors, including environmental sanitation, public transportation management, green traffic management, and flood and inundation management.
